NYHITTINGACADEMY Places Seniors Noel Santos,Yancy Taveras and Arial Polanco in the annual Exceptional Seniors Baseball Classic at Keyspan Park Park

Harlem's NYHITTINGACADEMY Places Seniors Noel Santos,Yancy Taveras and Arial Polanco in the annual Exceptional Seniors Baseball Classic at Keyspan Park Park in Brooklyn New York.

Santos is a switch hitting speedster from Harlem's Frederick Douglas Academy and Polanco is the hard hitting 3rd Basemen from Chelsea High school.

Taveras is a Six feet Three 200lb pitcher who went undefeated in his Senior campaign with a 1.40 ERA and hitting a robust 417ba, he will lead the undefeated Norman Thomas Baseball team into the City Championship against Monroe High School

Noel Santos put together a 522 on base percentage and stole 15 bases with a 448 slugging percentage.

Arial Polanco showed to be the leading vote getter in position players from coaches throughout the entire New York City Region.

The Six foot 170lb slugger put up stellar numbers in all offensive categories.

Starting out with a 596 batting average a 648 on base percentage and a 740 slugging percentage 21 stolen bases out of 21 attempts.

Taveras is undecided about what school he will attend this fall.

Santos will play in the SWAC Conference with Alabama A&M and Polanco had over10 offers but has verbally committed to St Augustine College in Raleigh North Carolina.

The NYHITTINGACADEMY continues to place players on the exceptional teams with several last year,as well as having over 12 players on the 2008 City Champions George Washington team this year on the
2009 Norman Thomas Team he has several more NYHITTINGACADEMY players,playing for a New York City Title.

Keyspan Park on July 11th

Harlem's NYHITTINGACADEMY'S Morgan Phillips invited to attend People To People Ambassador International Baseball Tournament

Harlem's NYHITTINGACADEMY'S Morgan Phillips invited to attend People To People Ambassador International Baseball Tournament

Baseball In America:



Morgan Phillips who attends and plays 3rd Base at Frederick Douglas High School in Harlem New York, and is entering his Sophomore year,has been invited to The International People To People Baseball Invitationals.

Phillips will represent The United States and compete against teams from England,France,Austria,

Brazil,Holland and the South Pacific.

The Tournament will take place In July 2009 and will be an Olympic style event,featuring over 300 players from all over the world.

Phillips who was selected from over 25,000 players will be coached by former Yankee relief pitcher and 2 time World Series winner Jeff Nelson.

Phillips who is part of the Harlem based NYHITTINGACADEMY which is ran year round by Youman Wilder who in 4 short years has placed over 20 African-American and Latino Players in Divisional I and Divisional II programs throughout the United States.

And in June of 2008 had 2 Major League Draft pick

Phillips also plays his summer AAU baseball with The New York Power House New York 9, and is coached by Ian Millman will be the only representative from the New York Tri-State area.
