Harlems NYHITTINGACADEMY places 2 alumni in 2008 MLB draft and 5 baseball students in Division I colleges

Harlem's NYHITTINGACADEMY recently placed 2 Academy members in the 2008 MLB draft.

Fernando Frais was selected in the 50th round by the Washington Nationals and
Jean Carlos Rodriguez was selected in the 10th round by the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Harlem Based Baseball academy also placed several NYHITTINGACADEMY players in Division I and Division II baseball collegiate programs.

Julian McWilliams accepted a scholarship at Ohio University

Paolo Glaude will attend Alabama A&M

Raymond Frais North Carolina @Greensboro

Malik Wylie New York Technology University

Peter Kidd Chestnut College

Viosergy Rosa George Wallace College

The baseball academy is the brain child of instructor Youman Wilder who in just 4 years has placed the Harlem based baseball academy on the forefront of presenting
talented African-American and Latino inner city players.

Wilder who has taken the program from 3 players, now has over 50 players, all whom are given year round instruction.

In 4 years the Harlem based baseball academy has had its players receive over 1 million dollars in baseball scholarships.
